Here is how it works. After submitting payroll, our system funds the payroll by transferring and holding the amount from your bank. From there, direct deposits are sent to employees. The remaining funds are employer and employee tax withholdings to be submitted to tax agencies.
Our system holds those funds and deposits them based on when the tax is due. As an example, federal tax deposits might be scheduled semi-weekly.
As a reporting agent, our system will also file a number of state and local tax forms on behalf of your company. At the federal level, we file forms related to FICA, federal withholding, and federal unemployment taxes as forms 940 and 941. These forms become available in your account after they are processed.
